Default Re: HOW TO MAKE INCOME CHANGES IN BUDGET PLANNER WITHOUT CHANGING PAST INCOME

Chris,

Thanks for the info..I'm not sure where the $25.00 is
though. It does seem kind of tedious and it seems to me I
will lose a lot of the budget monitoring abilities.

It sure would be nice if you could make changes to the
budget and only affect future months.

I have been toying around with the save and create new
budget ability....wonder if that would work or if I would
really mess things up? I'm not sure how that would work as
far as dates go.

Thanks again

You can't, if your income deposits are scheduled bills, such as paychecks.
You can, if you put in custom monthly amounts, but that's a pain.

I export my budget to excel and convert it to use formulas but keep the same
format of rows and columns. Each month I export the actual and copy it to
the customized budget worksheet. I also revise the budget for future months,
where appropriate.

This is tedious compared to what the budget tool should do, but it allows
accuracy for both past and future months. For a cost of ~$25 per year, I'm
not complaining too loudly.

Default HOW TO MAKE INCOME CHANGES IN BUDGET PLANNER WITHOUT CHANGING PAST INCOME

OK, it;s getting close to that time of the year again and
I need help!

Every winter our income dips drastically (almost in half),
how can I have the budget reflect this change and
associated budget values without changing the past budget
info? I know when I edit the budget outright, it will
change the value across the board for all months. If I do
that it will throw my yearly budget report values off for
a lot of months. I also save each months ending budget
report.

We use Money Deluxe 2004.

Thanks
