| Schedule the transaction in Bills & Deposits list. Let it post automatically a day or two before you expect it to actually post in your download file. When you download, click the 'change' button if it doesn't match automatically. If the posted amount varies by more than a few cents from the scheduled amount, it probably won't match. When you match it (or it matches automatically), the amount of the scheduled bill will be updated to the amount downloaded when you click accept. If you check 'Overwrite transaction dates with dates from downloaded transactions.' in Tools: Options, it will update the post date, as well. That's a global setting, though, so it might not be desirable in all accounts. -- Chris Cowles, Gainesville, FL "Prilosec" <purple[at]nni.net> wrote in message news:eIwbgFFmEHA.3536[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... - quote - > This is what I'm looking to do: > Pay a recurring bill with a credit card (maybe use the drop-down list with > "epay" "apay" "write check" , etc). | This is what I'm looking to do: Pay a recurring bill with a credit card (maybe use the drop-down list with "epay" "apay" "write check" , etc). I would hope this would somehow put an entry in my credit card account, which would be "matched" when I download the credit card statement. I am hoping the credit card account could act more like a checking account in this way. Is this possible to do, or will Money have to be changed as a program for this function. I currently pay a couple bills that I get online (like phone) with my Visa (which gives me points), but I have to go in and just delete the bill rather than mark it paid. Later, when my Visa statement downloads, I can put everything in as a new transaction. This is kind of "after the fact". Since it looks as though more bills are coming via email and offer credit card payment option (which I like just for the reward points), I was hoping Money would be able to do this better. Maybe I am missing something? Thanks to all you experts in advance. |
