| I've previously had this problem with Money 2004 and in my case it turned out to be a corrupt file. Running the salvage utility did not work. In the end, I had to export all of my accounts and then reimport them which removes any corruption but if you have a lot of accounts can be a very time consuming process. To confirm it's your file, backup your existing file and create a new file. In this new file, create at least one test account and then attempt to sync. If you are able to sync, you can point back to a problem with your original file. | Problem: Unable to synchronize Money 2004 Investment Portfolio data with MSN Money Central Portfolio data. ( Please reference Case No. SRX040825) I use Microsoft Money 2004 to manage my banking and other financial tasks, and also pay bills with MSN Bill Pay. I have been using MSN Money Plus on the web with the site's Investing/Portfolio Manager to record all of my stock transactions and maintain all of my investment data up to date. I have been attempting to to access and synchronize my MSN Money Central/Portfolio information to synchronize with Money Plus/Portfolio to bring my Money Plus investment information into Microsoft Money's Investment/Portfolio section so that I can see and work with investments using either Microsoft Money or MSN Money Plus/Portfoio. Each time I try to synchronize, things seem to be going ok until suddenly I receive a message: "An unexpected error has occurred. Your data is not being synchronized with MSN Money on the Web." I have worked with several of your technical support professionals over the past couple of months; two of them told me that Money/MoneyPlus synchronization has been an ongoing issue and problem, which they hope to get resolved sometime soon. One of them indicated that there is some sort of program fix that can be downloaded, but I have no further information than that. We have already removed and reinstalled Money 2004 using the CD ROM I received back in May. This did not solve the problem. Another of your people suggested that my MSN MoneyPlus Investment/Portfolio web file might be corrupted in some way, and that this interfered with synchronization. |
