Might be worth installing that and seeing if it is less picky than M2004. BTW when M2004 started converting it should have made a backup labelled *.mxx. Copy this again (and again) and rename to *.mny and load that into the original version of Money. But now I can't restore my old data that goes back years. When I double click on the old mny or mbf files Money 2004 locks after trying to convert for a few seconds.
