I suggest that with your new file in Tools-> Options-> Backup make sure that the backup file name is different from what your old file used. In fact, this would be a good time to review your backup strategy. Within Money, do File-> Open of the old file. At that point Money 2003 should convert that file to Money 2003 format. To switch back and forth between the older reference file and the newer active file, the most-recently-used list at the bottom of the File menu can be useful. |

| I've used money on my desktop since I bought it (not sure what version, whatever shipped with win98). I've set up a new account on my laptop XP with money 2003. I've made some minor changes and added more subaccounts. I've added online downloads and have used this new version for about a week. I basically have a months worth of transactions now (I downloaded the last 30 days from my bank). I would really like to have all my old transactions from my desktop on this new version for reference purposes. What is the best way to do this without causing conflict of different accounts/new information and transactions that have since overlapped? Thanks |
