| Had the same problem. Here's what I did. First, as recommended I installed it (again) in a different folder than before. Then I did the following: Start / Settings / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Computer Management In Computer Management, click on "Disk Management" in the tree: Computer Management (Local) / Storage / Disk Management Highlight the hard drive letter. Then, from the menu in Computer Management, click: Action / Rescan disks Now Money works and I no longer get the missing disk error message. .. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Anyone having problems with MS Money 2002 after doing the > XP SP2 upgrade? | I'm having the exact same problem. I've unistalled Money but am prohibited from unistalling the Money 2002 System Pack, which is the source of the error code. I'm at wits end. Have you found any solutions? - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Anyone having problems with MS Money 2002 after doing the > XP SP2 upgrade? | Anyone having problems with MS Money 2002 after doing the XP SP2 upgrade? Immediately after restarting, I was forced to dig up the Money CD so that it could reinstall itself. That seemed to work, but I am still getting Windows Installer errors suggesting that it's still trying to install Money every time I open an IE window (!). I also get them - "Error 1606 - Could not access network location" - when I open Money. I also get it when I maximize an already-open Money from the tray. Cancelling everything seems to take care of it, but what's up? How do I fix this? |
