Your best bet is Tools|Find and Replace|Advanced Search. Search for the
Payee then replace the category. You can even specify Clear All categories
and Include unassigned expense transactions. This assumes that you didn't
get some automagic assignment when they downloaded. Newer versions of Money
do that.

Default mass categorization

I have downloaded all this year's bank transactions in
one fell swoop. Now I need to categorize them. How can
I avoid going through them one-by-one? Can't I just, for
example, take all the MCI payments and categorize them
as "Phone" all at one time -- kind of like a search and
replace kind of thing?
