| Patrick, I've had this happen to me twice (once a month ago with a credit card account from one bank and then recently in three checking accounts from another bank). I put in a request to MS Support and they determined both times that my MS Money file had become corrupt. (Money becomes corrupt way too easily in my opinion). Anyway, I could not repair the file with Salv.exe. I cleared my Temp files, but had to go to the folder and clear them manually, because the Clear Files button in Internet Explorer would not clear all my files (I didn't know that until I actually opened my Internet Temp Folder). I had some files with extremely long file names that would not delete until I started in Safe Mode and moved them out of the Temp folder. Another thing I was told to do was to right click on the downloaded statement in the Account list and delete the statement. For the defective accounts, the statement would NOT delete. What I did find that is MY solution to this problem, is I found a good backup, reentered all the missing data (a pain if it is an older backup). THEN the BEST PART... I found the Internet a batch file that actually copies my backup file every day and renames the backup to the day's date. So I have a backup for every single day. It actually checks the backup every two hours. If there is one with today's date,it replaces it. If not it creates a new one. I also created another batch file like the first, but modified the location so it makes another copy to my other computer. It is working great. And I had never written a batch file before! I've listed the two websites I used to help me do this. http://money.mvps.org/backup.htm http://www.computerhope.com/batch.htm#11 NOW if my file becomes corrupt, I can trash it and use yesterday's backup. | Under File/repair file. Duh. Clutter may have tripped it up but still needs repairing I guess. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > I just had that exact same problem for the first time. > Clearing temporary Internet cache made no difference so I deleted all > files\directories in the Documents and settings\[user profile]\local > settings\Temp directory and also in the Windows Temp directory. Then do Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteCookies Then open Money with Start-> Run and entering "msmoney -s" without the quotes into the box. If that does not do in, you may need to export the transactions from the problem account. Delete the account. Create a new account, and import the transactions. However you might want to contact Microsoft directly before getting into that. - quote - > > -----Original Message----- > > I just had that exact same problem for the first time. > > > Clearing temporary Internet cache made no difference so > I deleted all > > files\directories in the Documents and settings\[user > profile]\local > > settings\Temp directory and also in the Windows Temp > directory. | I just had that exact same problem for the first time. Clearing temporary Internet cache made no difference so I deleted all files\directories in the Documents and settings\[user profile]\local settings\Temp directory and also in the Windows Temp directory. That got the downloads to enter into the register once again, but I can't tell you which of the Temp directories needed to be deleted.
