I would expect M01 to want an Administrator. I would not expect M04 to want
an Administrator. I guess my diagnostic ignored the reversion to M01.

I'm assuming you'd really rather be running M04 (or newer). Why don't you go
back to M04 and try the new data file created by regular user trick. If that
works for both users, then we'll try to figure out what both users can't use
the existing data file.

I've put the data file in the shared docs and also in her
user docs directory. She can't start Money. It comes up
with a 2001 installation error screen saying she has to
have administrator access.

I've even installed Money in the All Users directory with
no luck.

I'm betting file permissions on the data file are your problem. Is it in
Shared Documents?
