| The removal appears to work if I remove it twice - once from the PC via ActiveSync (which appears to remove the program from the desktop) and the second time from the device (settings/system/remove programs). After the double removable, the program doesn't show up either in the "Add or Remove Programs" panel on the desktop nor does it show up on the installed programs on the device. If I don't do the double removal, when I reinstall, I get a message that the software already exists and it asks me if I want to reinstall. After the double removal described above, I don't get this message. I just tried this again (without a hard reset). Then I reinstalled Money for Pocket PC. The installation appeared to work fine. The installation leaves me on the Device settings window where I can move Money up or down on the Today screen and select options. However, the Option window is empty - none of my accounts display. Then I disconnected the device and reconnected it to resync and ..it worked? I was writing this as I performed the reset to make sure I accurately described what happened. I swear that I didn't do anything differently and this time money synced with the desktop. I have no idea what, if anything, I did differently. Anyway, thanks for listening. | Did the second removal from the device work? Sometimes the registry says it's there when it isn't. | When you uninstalled the client software, did you do it on the device? Or from ActiveSync? -- Michael Gordon MVP "Hank" <Hank[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7DA5C093-BFA1-4D45-93E5-B95468920F44[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I have Money 2004 and have been able to successfully sync it with my pocket > PC for over two years. | I have Money 2004 and have been able to successfully sync it with my pocket PC for over two years. All of a sudden, it will not sync. I receive the 'attention required' message. I've tried uninstalling the pocket pc software and reinstalling - no success. I've tried repairing the money file on the PC - no success. When I try and sync, the pocket PC doesn't even see the accounts. On the ActiveSync Options window, the settings button is greyed out when Microsoft Money Data is selected. If I understand how the sync works, it sync's with whatever money dataset was open last. If this is correct, then it won't sync with the sample database that came with money. Any ideas? |
