Cal,

Your exactly right. I was thinking of deleting payee name
variation because that is what I am working on right now.

I have a question about that I would like you to answer,
so I'm going to start a new post.

I think that if you want the Payee to show blank in this case, you
would *add* "Visa Debit" to the Excluded Payee Names.

Default Pay to line auto fill always wrong

To fix this problem go to Tools/Options and choose the
Online services Tab. Uncheck "Replace downloaded payee
names when user-altered names are not availalbe".If you
wish the payee to show up as a standardized payee name
such as "Visa Debit" "Withdrawal or Check", then check the
box "Show standarized payee names when for which a name
match is not found." I like this option checked so that I
know I have to change these standard payee names
from "Visa Debit" to "Walmart" or "Sears".

You can also to to Payees/Payee Rule Manager and delete
unwanted standardized payee names in the Excluded Payee
Names. For example. If everytime your downloads from your
Visa card read "Visa Debit" and you just wanted the payee
to be empty/blank instead, you could delete the
words "Visa Debit" from here.

Hope this helps. I've learned this from trial and error.
Still working on some of this myself.

Sharon

Default Pay to line auto fill always wrong

When i download data the memo line shows the correct
transaction data but the "pay to" line automatic fill
line always lists a previous transaction. Like it will
say Kmart even though the transaction is really to
Albertsons.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
