| I had Money 2002, which worked fine for years. Then I downloaded the trial version of Money 2004. It seemed to be debugged so then I bought the upgrade license for 2004. All seemed fine...for a while. Last night, after entering some transactions in my account register for stock I just sold, I could not open "My Portfolio". Selecting the icon just produces the standard submit error message (using WindowsXP Pro), Microsoft XP detected a problem...blah, blah, blah, with the Submit or Cancel buttons at the bottom. Ok...so I am smart enough to know when a program might need reinstalling. But, since my trial license time has expired (even though I bought AND installed the purchased license) MS tells me I need to download another trial version and install it (over the other one). Anyway...to make a long story short...now when I open Money, it tells me (still) that my license is expired and does not let me enter the license code that I bought so it will stop telling me that! I assume it might be a registry entry...but cannot find anything on MS Help/Support. Does anyone have any suggestions besides throwing this garbage out the window and buying something in the CD version...such as Quicken??? Thanks, Ed |
