Maybe not totally off topic... I installed SP2 today, and the only
application that I had problems with was Money 2002.

I eventually figured out how to fix it, but I had other plans for my
Sunday evening rather than searching the Internet for people that might
be able to help me. Oh, well....

Here is the article I found from Microsoft:

Currently running SP2 with no problems or impacts on my system or
Money specifically. I did a clean install of XP and then SP2 before
reinstalling all my apps, so your experience may be quite different.
You can get SP2 from Windows Update or you can download a full copy
here:

SP2 went out to the technical beta testers, MSDN subscribers, and system
builders on the weekend of August 7/8. It went out on TechNet on Monday,
August 9th. The download is 266 megs, and is intended for ppl that need to
install SP2 on more than one computer.

SP2 went out on Windows update between the 9th and 16th for participants in
the Technical Preview (Release candidates 1 and 2), for XP Home users
between the 16th and the 25th, and will go out for XP Pro users on/after the
25th.

I'm not sure what the release schedule is for localized versions.

I downloaded it from TechNet on the 9th, installed it on my two computers on
the 9th and 10th, installed it on my mother's computer on the 10th, and
burned a CD for a friend on the 12th.

Default Off Topic- SP2

Just curious how many of you have installed Service Pack 2 already? I have
windows update set on automatic and it hasnt downloaded yet. I ran the
update manually and it wasnt listed as an available update. Is this
something that is only being released to certain geographic areas at a time?
