| I've just read that the 'cash flow' bit. Check the customise options on the cash flow - make sure that the 'assign budget amounts to' matches how you have set up the category. For example, have you defined the category to say which accounts are being used for budgeted amounts? -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money Check http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny for UK tips and fixes for MS Money. | Do you mean if the checkboxes 'Include this account in budget planner' in the details of those accounts checked? Then my answer is yes. Thanks for replying. | Hi, I see that if I assign a particular account to a category, but spend from some other account into that category, the cash flow program does not consider the remaining amount for that category(assigned in the budget) but the total amount assigned to it in the budget. This skews the projections a little bit. Details of this scenario are at the end of this mail. I am using Money 2004. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance. VJ I have assigned Amount X in the budget planner to category C and Account A1 to it. If I spend amount Y from account A2 into that category, money stills think that I am supposed to spend amount X in that category, whereas it must consider amount (X-Y) only. After-allI am not supposed to go out of limits for that category, even if I spend money on that category from some other account. |
