| It sounds like you are using MSN Bill Pay as the bill pay provider. If you do use MSN BP like this you can associate any number of banks and accounts at those banks with MSN BP. Then, when you do an inter-bank transfer (from Bank X to Bank Y), it happens electronically, no paper checks. An intra-bank transfer (from Account A at Bank X to Account B at Bank X) should also happen enectronically, ... If MSN BP is asking for a payee name and address, it's not recognizing the receiver of the Apay payment as one of your enrolled bank accounts. Are all the accounts at the bank enrolled correctly? As the other poster said, you can also have your bank be the bill pay provider. If you do this, then account-to-account transfers are recognized within the same bank, and they are all electronic, no paper check. Aays from the bill pay provider bank to another bank would be paper, though. | Hi Doug, I understand. My bank ofers their own bill pay service (free) which I use. Guess that is why it worked for me. Sorry for the wrong information. | Hi Jim, Thanks for the reply. I have never used Apay before, but the way I understand it is it will cause a automatic payment to go through my bill pay provider (MSN BillPay), probably by check, rather than send a transfer instruction to my bank. To set up the Apay, I have to enter a payee and address information. I would prefer the instruction to go directly to my bank like an electronic transfer (but only automatic) rather than through bill pay. Anyone else have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. | I did basically the same thing as you are trying to do by just setting the transfer up as an Apay. Not sure if that is the correct way to do it, but my bank handled it fine and it happens without an intervention from me - same as with my regular Apay that I have. | Hi, I have searched for an answer to my question, but have been unsuccessful, so please forgive me if this has been answered before. I use Money 2004 and I am trying to set up an automatic electronic transfer from my checking account to my savings account. I am able to set up a recurring electronic transfer, but it is not automatic; I get a reminder of the transaction and I have to submit it when it's time. Is there any way to make this automatic and if so, how? Thanks in advance. Doug |
