If that succeeds, run Setup from that copy. If you are unable to make the copy, I would buy a different CD drive'; they can be pretty cheap. OK, what I would really do is to say it is time for a new computer. I know you don't want to hear that, but if you did you would be wondering why you did not do that sooner. - quote - > I am

| I have had a version of Microsoft office since 1994, the most recent version being Money 2000. I utilize this program every day to track my current and future financial info. When the system crashed I reloaded Windows 98, however, something must be wrong with my CD drive as it kept stopping, at various lengths, and saying Void-Retry- and something else in DOS (which I never did understand. My financial information is still in my favorites, as I save the info each day. When i try to open Money I receive a message, as follows: "This applicationm can not identify the end user identification....Please reinstall..." I am on TDA in Canada and don't know how to enter my user # without installing. However, if I try to reinstall Windows again my CD Drive may die before it completes it's cycle. I even downloaded Money 2004 for a 60 day trial as I will be back to base in Florida in October, no problem there everyone speak English. Can I run just a portio of the Restore CD by typing something into RUN. HELP!!!Please respond to my MSN email listed at the top of this page instead of my Sympatico address that this might go out on. It's listed on top but again it's dontheroux2[at]MSN.com. Thx |
