The only issues with doing it this way are:

1) You cannot easily change the whole lot of them if, say, you change your
witholding or get a raise or have increased benefits costs deducted all of a
sudden.

2) Creating twelve paychecks can be a little involved what with all of the
elements to enter. The best way is probably to get a prototype in a
transaction and then do a R-Click Add to Bills & Deposits on it twelve
times.

3) Doing it this way may confuse Lifetime Planner (if you use LP).

I would just enter 12 scheduled transactions individually without
recurrance. Maybe some day the scheduler will be more intelligent. I get
paid on 15th and 30th, but Money can't automatically mitigate these dates
when they fall on weekdays. That annoys me, but not loosing any sleep over
it

There is no good way to do this. As you note, Money's recurrence scheduler
is VERY simplistic. The best bet is to pick, say, the 10th and then had edit
individual transactions in the series--say nine months worth at a time.

Default Strange Payday rule...

Hi,

I have just started using MS Money 2004 Deluxe (just a few days). I have a
question regarding a 'strange payday rule'.

My wife works for the local School District. She gets paid on the 8th
business day of each month.

Is there an easy way (or any way) to reflect this in the calendar each
month?

Right now I just have it set to monthly. Obviously, that will just show the
same day each month.

Thanks,

Guy
