Default Re: Line of Credit

These are best setup as credit card accounts. Payments are Transfer:[name of
account]. Interest expenses are Interest Expense:HELOC (or similar)
transactions entered in the register for the LoC account.

If you want to do the payment and the interest expense in one transaction,
you can use a split. Set the total amount of the transaction to the check
(payment) amount and split it to a Transfer:[name of account] and an
Interest Expense:HELOC element where the transfer is the total payment less
the interest expense from the current statement.

Default Line of Credit

How can I set up my line of credit account where when I make a payment with
principal and interest only the principal will be added to the line of
credit available. Tried using split transaction but interest that is paid
is added to the line of credit available.

Thanks
Stan
