I don't know what that file does, but it is in the Money.cab file on> What is this file? your CD. A .cab file is similar to a .zip file. |

| Well, I turned off my wireless connection, uninstalled NAV, and tried to install money again. I still get the error message. I checked the CD-drive it is OK. I searched my computer for the file: mnyolog.dll and it does not exist on my computer. It is not on the CD either. What is this file? Thanks for your time and assistance, I am at a lost. Maybe it's best I use Quicken. I don't think Money is going to work on this computer like it did before. Computer is Gateway. What some people have reported is that they have uninstalled NAV,> running but I specifically disabled it to install money. > I also tried installing via SAFE MODE, and no luck there > either. Installed Microsoft Money successfully, and then reinstalled NAV. If you are concerned about being attacked while NAV is uninstalled, you can disconnect from the Internet during that interval. I don't know what "disable" does on NAV, but it apparently does not do what people expect. - quote - > > -----Original Message----- > > In microsoft.public.money, MLMattaboy wrote: > > > > I previously had MSN money 2003, but since lost it from > a > > > virus attack. | I previously had MSN money 2003, but since lost it from a virus attack. I purchased MSN money 2004 but it will not install on my Windows XP Home edition. I keep getting: Error 1304, Error writing files: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money\System\mnyolog.dll." It will not install. Can anybody help? |
