| I think you'll need to delete them for them not to appear. See http://www.umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=98 before you do it, so you aren't unecessarily alarmed beforehand. Take a backup before you do it though, just in case i have it wrong. | Thanks again for your reply, Glyn, as well as for the pointer to that response about deleting investments. I misspoke: my problem is not with the the Home Page, which correctly reflects my current investments; it's with the drop-down list of investments within a register of a particular account. I'm using Money 2004 and when working with the drop-down lists in the 'Investment' field within the register of any given account, the drop-down list includes investments which I no longer have and which I want to delete; but I can't find them on any page or list (except the drop-down list, where I'd rather not have them) to delete them. Is there someplace else I can look for a list of all the investments that I might have used so that I can delete one or two? | I've not got a version of Money with me (which version are you using, by the way). Looking at the original message though, you say the 'investment' column asks for the name of the account? I thought it asked for the name of the investment, which is a totally different thing. | Thanks for the response, Glyn. I've closed some ancient accounts and while they don't show up on my regular account lists, when I'm working within an investment register, the drop-down list of accounts is still showing those long-ago closed items. | If I no longer use a financial institution or named bank account, how can I delete that name so that when I'm entering an investment transaction and the 'Investment' column asks for the name of the account, the drop-down list of account names will contain only those which I currently use (or wish to maintain on the list)? |
