You could try the trial. However if you want to be able return to Money 2002 deluxe, you would want to have that disk. If you have an OEM version, you will not have the disk. You can have both versions installed a the same time by clicking to do an advanced install and installing into a different folder. However it is the last-installed that will automatically be associated with QIF and OFX files. |

| I have gone to Microsoft support and followed suggestions on that website. I have done a lot of experimenting and still Money closes. I think it has something to do with categories and subcategories. If you use Income categories as Expense categories (or visa versa) and money asks you if you want to do this and you say yes, could that cause closing? The account that is causing the closing of Money, I manually enter not export. The problem surfaced in October of 2003. If I upgrade to Money 2004 will I still have the same problem? - quote - > -----Original Message----- > In microsoft.public.money, suel wrote: > > When I try to access my Monthly Reports, I get error > > message: Money version has encountered a problem and > > needs to close. | When I try to access my Monthly Reports, I get error message: Money version has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.' It closes Money and sends error report. I found some information in previous posts. I understand this could mean I have corrupted data. September 2003 was the last time monthly reports were able to be run. I do not import data to that account. I manually make entries into this accout. I have proven that this is the account that has the problem. I understand that I may have selected Category and not subcategory. I went back and changed to subaccounts. I still cannot run the reports. I want to upgrade to Money 2004 but fear this problem will be the same in Money 2004. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what my problem might be? Thanks. |
