| I'd agree with you here. I've not known any bad reports from the quick file repair (unless yours was), but the deep repair shouldn't be used routinely, and I'd only use it for deeply broken files to get data out (ie, repair, if it works, then export all the files and import into a clean file) - it can cause more screw ups. I put together a page on how I do backups, which I know has been published here before. | Do not routinely run file fixer. On my installation, I ran it even though everything was ok. The result was an altered file in wich many transactions reversed their signs, e.g deposits became negative numbers. I have not used that feature since then. Anyone else have this experience. Alway have two backups in different locations (drives) or one stored off of the machine entirely. It is very easy to get confused and backup a bad file over a good one. | Thanks for the reply Glyn, I can open the sample file and browse the cashflow forecast. I have narrowed it down to two of my accounts only (of 5) that cause Money 2004 to crash in cashflow forecast All accounts were converted over from 99 So it looks like my money file, what can I do now? is there a "file fixer" I can use? | It might be worth trying to reinstall your copy of Money, but that would depend on the error you see.
