You have to go back and read each prospectus very closely.
Plus they dont always name such investments in the same
names used in the newspapers. Err on the side of caution
if the investment isnt a recognizable name.

Thank you. There is at least one mortgage REIT that specializes in
CMBS.

The above may help a bit, or give you a lead. My guess is that CMBS
were sprinkled around. It was interesting reading an article (below)
written in 2004 about how the various classes of financial
professionals were falling all over themselves trying to buy them ....
Now they're collapsing all over themselves trying to get rid of them.

Which mutual funds, either open-end or closed-end, invest in CMBS?
They have plunged in value and have been a cause of the stock market

. I think CMBS may currently be a good buy, but as I have written in
another thread, non-government bonds now trade like stocks and are
risky investments.
