Apparently, it does increase those limits the same way.
The new limits expire on Dec 31, 2009.

(Title 1, Sec 136, of HR1424) Page 92 in the PDF to
which a link was posted here in MIF-P a few days ago.

Default FDIC limits and credit unions

I know credit unions are not covered under FDIC, they are covered under
NCUA. With the new, temporary increase in FDIC insurance limits, what about
NCUA insurance limits?
