Congress and the White House are working on details as we speak. However, my
understanding is that the government will be buying these bad loans and the
assets collateralized. Any realization of these assets will be to the
government.

Default the government plan - details anyone?

I haven't seen much in the way of details reported. I guess the fundamental
question I have is what price will the US be paying for these mortgages and
CDOs it will be buying? par value? let's hope not. 10 cents on the
dollar? The lower the price, the less cost to the US, as some of these
assets will (or should be) realized.

anyone?
