Without seeing the phone bill, it is hard to tell. Did you
have a business class line installed? Those are often three
times the money of a local line. Do you really need this
extensive phone service? I run my business off of a cell phone,
and the cellular company has no clue that it is not a personal
line.

A common mistake made by new businesses is that they work on
stuff like office space, phone system, logos, stationary, business
cards, etc, and they never get around to doing any business. Then
the money runs out, and they have no revenue coming in, so they
fold up. It is a great way to wipe out your savings.

Default Bills and business-building

Hello all, I don’t know if this is the correct venue for asking these
kinds of questions, but how have your personal bills and budgeting
affected your financing decisions? I recently started a small office,
but once I got my first set of phone bills I panicked because of all
the extra charges that started appearing. I had just started and
suddenly my bill’s tripled! Is that right?
