Los:

This is not an employment board, and I recommend you and other
participants take any further discussion of your own work status off-line.

However, as a general financial planning topic, I am fascinated by the
glimpse you provide into the thinking (and spelling skills) of the
person who might be on the other side of some future professional
financial advice relationship in which I engage.

Default Registered Rep's Corner

Hello google goupers. I am relocating close to were I finished my
undergraduate in Marketing Orlando FL. I worked as broker trainee
with no pay while studying for my Series 7 and life and health
licenses. I am looking for a company to work for in the Orlando area.
I have interviewied with many firms. I am interviewing with Merrill
Lynch, Smith Barney, Edward jones, Metlife, New England Financial,
Ameriprise Financial , New York life the list continues. Believe it
or not Edward Jones , Ameriprise gave me a base which to me is the
deal maker, because I am 24 yrs of age with no income and it will
allow me to work and try to build the business rather than starting
out independent like MLM primerica or Ind. Adivsor Raymond James. I am
writting here because I need help, I am in Orlando and really
confussed who I want to be associated with. I just turned down the
Ameriprise Financial position because I am aware of the poor
reputation they have, not to the consumer (even thought there VUL
sucks) but more so to other firms.

I am confussed if I should work for an Financial Advisor for an
insurance firm or work for a investment firm?My goal is to have a nice
book and help customers with thier investment objectives, wither its a
retirement, growth, income, protections, tax sheltering. What ever !
I just dont want to be with a company where they wont allow me to open
my financial tool box to fix the clients problem. I also want to grow
and feel belong someone and achieve success in a leadership fashion as
well as monetarly.

SO IF THERE IS ANYBODY IN ORLANDO, FL or TAMPA that is looking for a
Registered Rep , bilingual , young , sharp and hungry please let me
know. I am interested in a small base pay with potential to make 100k
my first year. If anybody is reading this and can relate to my
situation or knows any body that is looking for a good solid hire that
is going to produce please take the initiative and let me know ! I
appreciate anybody's comment or help.

God bless,

Los
