It can if you're over 70.5 and taking MRDs (or is it RMDs) from your IRA.
Otherwise, it won't.

Default Reducing AGI

Is there someway to reduce AGI for a person on SS and pensions?
Capital losses only works to $3000, and there's no deferred comp
available for retirees.
