The following site provides rates at several banks.> good interest rate on a savings or certificate of deposit > account. http://www.money-rates.com/ In another post someone suggested ING Direct. They are currently at 4.4%. You could also try other online savings accounts like Emigrant Direct or HSBC Direct which offer 5.05%. Anoop |

I have a high-yield money market with Capital One. It's not the absolute> good interest rate on a savings or certificate of deposit > account. highest interest rate possible (5.00% APY) but it has a low minimum and no fees to worry about. The only negative I've noticed with it is that it takes something like 2 weeks for funds to become available after a deposit. But that's fine for my needs, so I don't care much. It's an internet-only rate. So overall it's pretty OK. Also, when I was searching for it, I found the following three sources of leads on similar accounts: http://bankdeals.blogspot.com/ http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/mess...hreadid=437553 http://www.bankrate.com/ - Logan |
