I have a love-hate relationship with E*TRADE. Their prices and fees
are fairly reasonable, though certainly not the lowest out there.
Their bank accounts are paying a pretty good rate of interest right
now, so that a plus.

On the downside, expect to have them screw something up on you once
every year or two. Expect a fair bit of hair pulling to get it fixed.
Occasionally, expect them to screw it up worse instead of fixing it.

If I were choosing from scratch, I would not go with them. But, so
far, the pain threshold has been just slightly below the level that
would make it worthwhile to move somewhere else.

I have several accounts with E-Trade brokerage (taxable, one of my
Roths, my wife's Roth, my traditional IRA, my wife's tradtional IRA, and
an options account). I like them a lot. I've tried Scottrade and TD
Ameritrade (although I haven't tried TD recently) and I don't like them
as well. I don't use E-Trade's bank at all.

Default fdic?=OP-Thanks for responses

I agree with a lot of what everyone had to say.
Having said that--

Any thoughts-words of wisdom-opinions on Etrade brokerage and Etrade Bank?

That's where, right now my funds are, mostly in the bank side,
JT/SEP's/IRA's.

Thanks
ryker

ps-be honest-think there bad, don't like them, should pull my money out,
or there OK, tell me, I can take it. I need to here from someone else
besides ET.
