All of these are considered "RISKS". Pilots, after a certain number of
hours, are considered by most companies to be standard..........
Sky diving & racing are almost a no-no. No experience with mountaineering
thought.

The activities you mention are not common in everyday life. However, if you
have
engaged in any of them in the past & intend to in the future, you would be
considered a RISK.

YES, there are specific carriers that specialize in these risks, and since
they write a large
number of cases, they are able to lower THEIR RISK factors, and offer lower
premiums.

Cal, would appreciate your comments on limitations for death payouts for:
* private pilots
* rock climbing, mountaineering, sky diving, bike racing, etc

How common are these and are there specific carriers to deal with if you
engage in those activities?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. I have never sold a Life Insurance policy that had ANY
clause that allowed the Insurer to refuse to pay a claim, when the death
occurred (other than suicide or suspisious death) beyopnd the Tow Year
Contestable Period.
The company has the right to refuse or rate up a contract at the time of
issue. Then they have an additional two years within which to CONTEST any
claim. AFTER that period has passed, they have no right to refuse.

Don't pay for heart attack? You're kidding right? It's one of the
leading causes of death isn't it?

Default Life insurance exclusions

Hi, I'm shopping for term life insurance for the first time and I'm
wondering what are the common exclusions applied to the cause of death.
I've found a company which doesn't pay for death from a number of
causes, including AIDS (even if it's not a pre-existing condition),
heart attack, and a few others.
Are such provisions common?
thanks.
