OTOH, having the email set up so that customers' automatic email answering services fire back an email to the whole email list is IMO a tip-off of either (1) the illegitimacy of the first email or (2) that our friends running the Treasury Direct web operations are still getting up to speed on efficient management of the site. I will happily be cashing in my remaining savings bonds with TD in 2007. |

| Did any other acount holders get an email from Treasury Direct asking to update your email and home addresses and phone number, and then get a bunch of replies to that email from other recipients? Someone at Treasury Direct claimed it was a server error. Still wondering why "Jane Doe's", "John Smith's" and "Barney Fife's" response to that email was sent to me. Lena |
