Default Re: Best money market fund(s) to buy for your IRA ???

As has been suggested, never put a tax advantaged investment into a tax
deferred account.

Consider GE Interest Plus, a savings vehicle that can be seen at
www.geinterestplus.com which pays slightly higher than the typical MMMF and
has check-writing abilities above $250.

They are usually within a tight range, and, unless the sum is large,
chasing the last .1% rarely makes sense. Most brokers also offer
brokered CDs (i.e. CDs from banks across the country). You can often
find the best rate on those CDs.

Yes, you want a taxable fund/CD, as the ira is tax deferred. You never
want to place a variable annuity in the IRA. Never.

Hello fellow investors,

What is the best money market fund(s) to buy for your IRA ???

Or are most of them the same??

Also, should I get a taxable fund or a tax-free fund?? I am assuming I
should get the higher yielding taxable funds since an IRA is not taxed
anyways. Is this the correct thinking?

Any suggestions or tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
