You can get a free credit score every month if you have a credit card with months (free from each bureau) + the score to be sufficient. -- Manage your book collection online at http://www.ibookdb.net/bookshelf |

All I've had so far are some alerts that said my credit card balance has changed significantly and a notification when a credit check was performed. I think once a year is good enough unless you have had an event that makes you more susceptible than average to identity theft - such as having a computer stolen, knowing that your data have been stolen from a financial institution, or having had your home/car broken into. Just my opinion, though. Anoop |

| I occasionally review the current offerings from different companies for monitoring credit reports. I'm mainly concerned about identity theft. I know that you can get free credit reports once a year from each of the big three credit bureaus, but to me the frequency is not sufficient. So I was wondering about people's thoughts and experiences with these services. Any good, reasonably priced ones out there, considering that I would take it for me and my wife. Also, how important is it to monitor all three credit bureaus as opposed to just one? Or are they not worthwhile? Thanks. |
