Default Re: Reits?

IMOH the main reason to hold REITs is as an inflation hedge, not especially
as an income producer. Property owners can raise rents in a time of general
price inflation.

I've had the Vanguard REIT index fund in my Roth IRA for several years, and
have been pleased, both with performance and Vanguard's impeccable record
keeping and assistance efforts.

Lots of them. Which one do you want?

Seriously, it is impossible to respond intelligently without knowing a whole
lot more about your current assets, how they're allocated, what your goals are,
and when you want to reach them.

One thought is that REIT's have had a hell of a party for the last two or three
years and the Fed is working hard to take away the punch bowl. Are you sure you
are not just chasing last year's winner?

Default Reits?

I'm thinking of doing the Vanguard Reit Index Fund for my Roth this
year.
Any opinions?

Thanks,
