Roll it over to a Traditional IRA (you cannot roll it over> a Roth, or > something else? to a Roth). By putting it in a Traditional IRA, you will have more flexibility when it comes to investing. finance.yahoo.com provides a lot of history on fund performance, for one. It's not perfect but a good quick check tool. Look for mutual funds having no loads and low expense ratios. Index funds are ideal. Vanguard is a great place for index funds and low expense ratios. Do you have an allocation plan? For ideas, try some of the free online tools for allocating at http://home.earthlink.net/~elle_navorski/id4.html Once the money is in the Traditional IRA, you can convert it as you like to a Roth IRA, paying taxes on the conversion amounts. Once in the Roth, and at retirement, you pay no taxes on anything you withdraw. |

| I finally got my 401K info on a previous job that I held for two years starting in 1997.
