You don't have to report Roth IRA contributions on your tax form, so go> already filed my taxes or does that April 15 deadline simply apply > regardless if I've filed my taxes already. Thanks ahead. -Sandra |

| Hello all, Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm looking to open a Roth IRA for the first time, so forgive me if this is pretty basic. I filed my taxes for 2005 and received a decent refund. At first I was thinking I would just use the refund money to contribute towards my 2006 IRA, but then I learned the deadline for contributing to a 2005 IRA is not until April 15. Question: Is it too late for me to contribute to my 2005 IRA since I've already filed my taxes or does that April 15 deadline simply apply regardless if I've filed my taxes already. Thanks Mike |
