| Dealing with the credit reporting agencies is a can of worms. One problem is that they hire chimps to do their record keeping. I had many accounts listed as open in my credit reports, that I had closed years earlier. I closed an MBNA account in September of one year. Eight months later it was listed as open by one of the agencies. I called MBNA and was immediately told that it was indeed closed. I had a letter from MBNA to that effect that I photocopied and sent to the agency. They still would not list it as closed. The people at these agencies cannot make a simple phone call or verify a letter. I have several accounts that I closed, but that are still listed as open. Because of the corruption of our government, these corporations are so powerful, there is no way to get them to conduct themselves properly. Finally, I just gave up. They have tons of incorrect information about me but you have to go through reams of paperwork every month that they send you and still they do nothing. sarp |

Is the account actually closed. It should say so on the> there I never use. Example... If it's not closed (and listed as such) contact the creditor and make sure it's closed. - quote - > Should I get such info removed? If yes.... how?
As long as it's in good standing and/or explicitlylisted as closed, it shouldn't be a problem. They probably won't removed anything unless it's actually an error. -- Plain Bread alone for e-mail, thanks. The rest gets trashed.
