That's only your contributions. The combined max (your contributions
plus your employer's contributions) is $44,000 for 2006.

There is also a "non-discrimination test" which makes sure
that not only the "highly compensated employees" take advantage
of the 401(k), which may lower the limits.

I have a question about the maximum contributions to a 401K plan..

Is the $15,000 annual limit apply only to the contributions I make to the
plan or does it also include the employers matching?
