Which calculator at the link you give below? I can't find
(quickly, anyway) anything with "si" attached to it and
think you might mean any of a few of the calculators listed
there.

It's hard to comment intelligently without knowing exactly
which calculators you're using and what input you're using
with them. So if you can give more info, great. With a
little cleverness, you can probably mask very personal
information, for posting purposes.

I have experimented with a number of online calculators for
retirement planning and do find a fair amount of variation
from one to the next.

Default financial calculators

I just went thru cnn-si calculator (http://cgi.money.cnn.com/tools/)
and it appeared to tell me different things than other calculators I
frequently use (Vanguard, T Rowe). Anyone know this calculator to be
different (on cnn web site)?

Vanguard and T Rowe have typically suggested I need to save more and my
current assets are not enough to hit the 2 million needed for
retirement... the cnn calculator suggested that I have a 99.6% chance
of reaching retirment based on current savings.
