Yes and yes.

It has only been a year. That is enough for a pat on the back
and a few "nice jobs". Good credit takes years to build, and
only minutes to destroy. Keep up the good work.

Default Joint loan account = credit builder???

I have a car loan that my father co-signed on for me. (of which i have
been making steady on-time payments for almost a year now) When I pull
up my credit report from the 3 major bureaus, it shows the account as a
joint account, with all the payments on time. My question is: I have 4
years left on this loan... will this joint account help my improve my
FICO score with continuous on-time payments? Would it improve my FICO
even more if it were an individual account under my name only?

I haven't noticed much of a bump in my score and therefore, this begs
the question. Any insight would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks,
Amp
