Default Re: Hartford Fund or Pacific Life Innovations Fund?

Advisor commissions on annuities are generally in the order of 4-5%
Hartford is a good company and a good annuity. I also like Allstate
because they are one of the few that let you take your money and not
annuitize as early as 5 years in. They also have the co-annuitant DB
which can be nice if you are using the DB feature.

Default Hartford Fund or Pacific Life Innovations Fund?

I've posted this on a mutual funds board, but it was suggested I post
it here instead.

I'm trying to decide between these two. Are they the same? What are the

differences if any? Anything better out there? I'm looking for a good
performing variable annuity with at least the principle protected by
being able to withdraw money over a period of time. I think Hatford has

been around longer. I would appreciate any feedback. Is it really true
on
these funds that if you keep the fund long enough, eventually if you
keep
taking out the guaranteed 7% you can get you principal back, even if it
falls to zero value?

Also, I don't know if the investor is supposed to be privy to this
info, but I was curious what the advisors commissions range from for
annuities, specifially the ones above. Is it bad form to ask the
advisor? Thanks!
