| The problem with your situation is there is no substantial proof that you will have income to maintain the interest payments. Saying you are starting a business is not enough. 80% of small businesses fail and most don't make money within the first few years. You need to find a job and then apply for the loan and tell them you plan to start your own business but continue working until it is established. This is what lenders want to hear. For such a small amount, commercial lenders won't touch it even if you did have proof of income. I would try using a credit card (find a low introductory rate) to start you off and then once you have a years worth of operating statements, you can show that to the banker and see if they would be willing to give you a line of credit. ews71[at]yahoo.com wrote: - quote - > Hi. | Look up at the local college or find the SBA office, Small Business Development Center and look for one of 2 things; Microenterprise Loans or Women Business Enterprises (WBE) programs. Not sure go to a community bank and ask them who runs that program in your area. Good luck. <ews71[at]yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1116355766.083932.16900[at]o13g2000cwo.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Hi. | Hi. I am in search of person or organization willing to provide a loan to start a small business. I have a service I believe could be successful, but I need a few things to start. I was recently laid off (which happens often) and I'm sick to death of struggling. I have a few personal expenses that really need paid, so I would like to take care of those also. I'm smart and a hard worker, so I know I can make this work if I could just get a little help. I'm a single mother and it is my dream to be able to work out of a home office so that I can be here for my children when they need me and not miss their events. I don't own much, but I do have a car in good condition that I would be willing to put up for collateral. I believe the value is around $3000. I would like to borrow $2000 The money would be used for the following expenses: Laptop Computer $800 Printer Cartridges $50 Car Insurance Due $130 Car Tags $100 Car A/C Repair and Recharge $150 Phone Bill $120 Cash for Fuel, etc. $250 Digital Camera $150 Other Expenses $250 As I said, I have been laid off, but I honestly believe I can make this business work. I will begin repaying the money as soon as the business is up and running (a month or 2), including interest. Thanks, Jackie |
