Default Re: Taxes on IRA/401k distributions

Well, if it is a taxable IRA now, the only way to reduce or eliminate
taxes in the future is to convert it to a Roth IRA now. But, doing so
will have tax consequences now.

I have read about a way that you can supposedly do it using insurance.
But, we all know insurance isn't free. I'll see if I can find that
article or summarize it on my blog.

Default Taxes on IRA/401k distributions

I recently received a flyer from a "retirement services" company
inviting me to a seminar where I would learn how to "reduce or totally
eliminate" taxes on income, IRA/401k distributions, etc. during my
retirement years. I don't plan to attend, as I assume they will be
trying to sell me something. However, I'm wondering if there really are
ways to make IRA/401k distributions tax-free or low-tax, other than the
obvious but impractical method of making the distributions for very
small amounts each year.
