The most popular index fund for the Nasdaq is I-Share's fund QQQQ.

I agree, and I think anyone considering investing in something that
tracks the Nasdaq 100 or Nasdaq Composite should look up the latest list
of the companies that make up the "index" and their relative
percentages. It's a pretty arbitrary list of stuff. One easy to find
source for that is the disclosure info for the ETFs themselves, such as
the QQQQ ETF (info at www.amex.com)

There is a Fidelity ETF with symbol ONEQ that tracks the Nasdaq
Composite. Vangard does not offer a Nasdaq index fund. I think the
reason for this is that Vanguard, to its credit, generally avoids
offering funds that are ill-suited to individual investors, as opposed
to speculators. The Nasdaq index is not as diversified as the Wilshire
5000 and will in general have an inferior risk-reward ratio. The QQQQ
ETF tracks the Nasdaq 100 index.

As a whole? No, I don't, but QQQQ is the very liquid ETF that covers the
top 100 companies in the NASDAQ. That would be a low-cost option of
comparable functionality...
