Are you an agent? If so, you should know the answer. =)

Generally, the agent must be licensed where they are standing when the
application is signed. Where the company is matters not, nor does where any
plan participants reside, only where the contract is signed.

Default License requirements for interstate group health sales?

Hi,

What are the insurance licenses required when a group health insurance
policy is sold to a company that has locations in several states? Does
the agent have to be licensed in each state where the company has
participating employees or just one for the company's main location.
And if it is just one for the company, is it based on where he company
was incorporated or where their main office is.

Thank you.

Winter
