Default Retirement planning at the last minute. Thanks for any help.

Left everything to the last minute because I didn't think my business
would bring in much this year. I have a S-Corp (a small construction
company) of which I am the sole owner and officer. Looks like I'll get
a quick payment before the end of the year and will have some money to
start a retirement on. I'm 49(yes I know it's late) and do have some
employees all working less than 1000 hrs/yr (I heard this was a
condition for a solo 401(k)set-up). My income is all over the place
year to year. I haven't cut a single check in salary for myself this
year due to money shortage (thanks be to savings and a girlfriend!).
I'm going to have about $200,000 after taxes in salary and disbursments
to set aside in my/my company contributions. Looks like about the same
next year as well. I received conflicting info about the various plans.
What plan: SEP, 401(k)or other/combo would work to my tax advantage?
I've got an appointment with B of A next week to look at a SEP, but
they don't offer a 401, so unbiased info will be hard to come by.
Thanks for any and all help
Rick
