The rule of thumb for dollar cost averaging is that new money is
put in over time, existing money is reinvested all at once. Even
still, dollar cost averaging may be a sub-optimal way to put new
money to work--studies have shown that taking the plunge all at
once seems to work out best in the long run most of the time.

In the long run, it is your money, so do what you feel comfortable
with. Since we don't know the future, you will not know the
correct answer until you are all done.

Default 401k

I have a 401 which i have in a gartmore money market account and have
had so for a few years. I would like to invest 10% in international
stocks, 70% in small caps and the rest in medium and large caps. My
question is do I sink all of the money in at one time or do I do it
over time. Kind of like dollar averaging?
