Heh Skip,

I purposely do not use my correct Email address because I am currently
receiving about 1500 spams a week. Even with spam blocks I am overwhelmed.

Sometimes, because of a quirk in Google, I cannot see the message I
posted. So your message may be there but you can't see it. Ask
others if they can see it.

To those who are asking about posts not appearing, a few comments.

1. The Moderators do not return all posts. Time permitting, however,
we do attempt to return a new poster's first inappropriate post
together with a reference to our charter. Thereafter all posters are
expected to follow the guidelines, act with decorum, etc.

2. On 5/7 we posted a note requesting that further comments on the car
threads be posted to more appropriate newsgroups. On 5/22 we
requested that regulars snip/trim the posts to which they respond.
Because of the press of other matters, we prefer to explain our
position once rather than several times.

3. While the Moderators are obviously brilliant <grin> , we often
cannot explain why posts appear on some servers but not others.

4. For future reference, our host's web site has a mechanism for
participants to track their messages. It can be found at
http://readystump.algebra.com/

I have also noticed a number of missing posts. I sent in
two yesterday, and I did not see them posted. I also recall
a few more in the past weeks that did not make it. I use
my real E-mail address, and I didn't get a rejection notice.

Do you recall seeing any replies from me over the past day or
two?

I checked google groups, so I know that the postings are not
making it to USENET, as opposed to being posted and never making
it to the new server where I live.

The last two for you were 5/26. If there are some since, please repost.

Default Is this newsgroup censored?

I noticed that I strongly disagreed with someones advice on this newsgroup,
but my opinion never got posted. My opinion contained my view, my opinion
with no bad language such that a child could not read it. There was no
operational reason why my statement could not be published anywhere unless
someone just disagreed with me or did not want my side heard.

So my question is.............. is this newsgroup monitored and censored?

One of the challenges with missing posts is where the poster posted
with a munged email address. In those cases, he/she would receive
neither the returned post nor the explanation.
