Understandable and even commendable. It will improve the quality of
the content. "Editing" here means selecting quotes, and not changing
the content, if I read you correctly.

This email edits the previous one by quoting only the parts to which
I'm responding. It deletes the parts that I'm not addressing, like
the signature, using ellipses to indicate omitted parts when helpful.

The responses are under the quotes so that it makes sense when read
from beginning to end.

Default From the Moderator (Editing posts to which you respond)

For months now we have requested that posters edit/delete the posts to
which they respond. This results in a faster posting process
(Moderator does not have to read posts twice) and makes for a more
readable post.

We have begun returning posts where the poster is responding to
lengthy posts and who does not edit/delete.

We recognize that some posters may not know how to edit/delete posts.
Any one who wishes to be a good Samaritan and give a brief primer on
how-to would be appreciated. Simply respond to this post.

Thank you.
